man seems to want rules
although he mouths liberty
he seeks something else
fearing not knowing
he wants to know he is right
he seeks certitude
freedom is bartered
religions are established
rituals set in
pro forma prayer
jargon and regulations
supersede free will
paths no longer forged
no entering the unknown
no walking in faith
Jesus lived freely
unfettered by convention
walking his own path
living life for no because
being is enough
