gifts...they are given
or are they? perhaps not so
not given but found

perhaps we have all
all...before there was a time
before even us...

...in a human way
before consciousness had dawned
before even then

then we were being
in ways which we do not know
not now not ever

yet the gifts were there
and even then they were ours
though yet to be found

this moment they can
but not in a human way
they abide within

there must we enter
where waits eternal treasure
in emptiness found
