Where I Am

embrace where I am
even when I do not like
where it is I am

do not run away
from feelings I do not like
discomfort abide

always I must be
where it is I am
all places embrace

many have I harmed
those with whom I am closest
these have suffered most

forget not the past
even the wrongs committed
indeed they've been done

regret not the past
self pity is not healing
the ego it soothes

I can only live
now in this present moment
this I must embrace
