The Courtyard

to and fro they go
people about their business
thus passes the day

white cat with black spots
walks around always calmly
on courtyard patrol

little dog yapping
all day and throughout the night
lonely? maybe bored

neighbors but a while
two weeks ago they moved in
already leaving

watching it go by
a friendly community
people making do
