Cards 7 – Dodger 6

Stiff Competition

Dodgers come in hot
fifty-six and twenty-nine
eight game winning streak

Not Per Usual

Redbirds six through nine
four straight hits, good for three runs
one a Pujols bomb

Adding On

young Nolan homers
run from Dickerson-Knizner
old Nolan comes through

Bullpen Game

Hicks, Oviedo
limit Dodgers to one run
leave with five-run lead

Edge Down To One

lead begins to slip
Liberator gives up three
Fernandez yields one

Pack-eee II

three on and no out
Naughton strides to the mound...cool
strands bases loaded

Troublesome

Helsley pitches eighth
results in scoreless inning...
Gallegos in ninth

Insurance

Noopaar smacks double
Knizner plates him with third hit
three RBI game

Yep, Troublesome

enter Gallegos
exit baseball...Freeman jack
back to one-run lead

Maybe, Maybe...Yes!

after lead-off bomb
two strike outs, a walk, three balls...
fly ball to center

The Unsung

unlikely heroes
Knizner and Naughton combine
clutch hitting, pitching

Record: 48 – 42
(2nd place, 2 games behind)

Dodgers 7 – Cards 6

Intimidating

Dodgers pitching deep
Gonsolin...11 – 0
not even their ace

In This Corner...

Redbirds have Waino
wily old forty-year-old
sounds about even

Surprise

so who gets out front
Redbirds do...four runs in third
Arenado bomb

Earlier

Hader is human
Brewer closer coughs up three
Cards could benefit

Adding On

might learn to like this
Noopaar-Knizner connection
tacks on two-out run

Six Maybe?

Waino holds the line
but throws a ton of pitches
tops hundred in five

Maybe Not

Waino leaves in sixth
hit batsman, four-pitch free pass
retires one man

Pack-eee III

two on and one out
enter fireman Naughton
he hoses them down

Bottom Of Lineup

six-to-nine again
Pujols-Noopaar connection
ups the lead by one

Oh No

Marmol’s drug is back
can’t wait for VerHagan fix
throws away two runs

Oh Oh

Dodgers mount comeback
roar back with three runs in eighth
cut Card lead to one

Oh My

three games in a row
Gallegos has yielded runs
make that in four straight

Squandered Another

like many before
this loss involved Verhagan
when will Marmol learn

Record: 48 - 43
(2nd place, 2 games behind)
